Do NOT disable bluetooth in BIOS! - 03-30-2010, 07:41 PM
I already posted this in the **official** thread, but just a heads up over here too - I too have the problem with the missing on/off option for bluetooth. Upon investigating, I tried disabling and re-enabling in BIOS - DO NOT DO THAT! I've completely lost bluetooth, and I'm now looking for a way to re-enable it again. Any ideas are appreciated...
EDIT: Disregard that, bluetooth is back up after a shutdown, although multiple restarts, reruns of NBI and UpdateExtra didn't bring it back up. Switching on/off still not working though...

Same here. I take it the bluetooth mod from 10.5.8 don't work? Haven't tried it because of what Meklort said above (#14).
Oops, sorry, posting in wrong forum but I do have the bluetooth on/off issue. Currently it's on but I can't turn it off from the menu.

In the same position as you all. I have working bluetooth luckily just no option to turn it off. Bad for the battery but great for my magic mouse

Just another data point to add. I upgraded my 10v from 10.6.2 to 10.6.3 along with NBI 0.8.4 RC1. Under 10.6.2, I was able to close the lid and put the machine to sleep. Upon waking up the machine, I was able to use BT again without issue.
Since going to 10.6.3, if I put the machine to sleep, when I wake it up, I lose BT. The BT icon says that Bluetooth is not found. The only fix is to restart the machine, which fixes the issue and brings back BT. I guess I'll get in the habit of just shutting down instead of sleeping. Good thing this machine boots up so quickly.
