Hi,

new to osx, is it possible to make the windows key on the dell mini10v that apple key? also is it possible to make the @ key normal and not shift 2?

System Preferences > Keyboard > Modifier Keys

Switch Option and Command around.

As for "/@ - that is just the way it is in Macworld :-) Makes a little more sense really - the " and ' are on the same key.

Ah, but we live in a Hackintosh World, and like our keyboards to display what we type... at least I do, and that was one of the first things to annoy me!

All is not lost however, and a bit of Googling led me to this page.

I followed the instructions carefully, and it does appear to work! To display the / and \ keys correctly, I found I had to use the British (PC105 alt) option though.

A similar 'fix' has I believe been posted on here before, but this one seems to do the job perfectly!

I wonder if the Mini 9 uses the same layout ... I'm still on 10.5 on mine, so I haven't had to go through this pain yet

This is a very useful thread for UK users who have hackintoshed a mini with a standard UK keyboard.

I can recommend this solution for those from the UK who prefer their keys to show what they actually are - many thanks to Montala for his guidance here.

Thanks for the tip PC105 alt works for me on mini 9 with 10.6.2
