Default Must-Have apps for a Mini 10v? - 02-10-2010, 06:46 PM

So I've had my Mini since Christmas (and loving it ) and I also got Snow Leopard at the same time, so I put OS X on it (if you have a mini, PUT OS X ON IT!), and I'm looking for some awesome jaw-dropping apps for the 10v.

What's your favorites?

10v: Ice Blue | N270 | 1GB RAM | 160GB HDD | OS X 10.6.2 (NBI .8.2 & .8.3 RC4) | 6-Cell | Wireless N 1510 | Bluetooth

A few apps that I wouldn't be caught in OS X without:

QuickSilver - an app (or just about anything) launcher
Skitch - great app for screenshots with notes and markup
Caffeine - keeps your mac from sleeping
iStat - watching perfromance stats on your mac
gimp - photoshop for free
iTerm - best terminal app out there
TextMate ($$) - Best code editor for os x

I also love the previously mentioned:
Adium - chat client (gChat, AIM, MSN, etc)
Growl - Great for displaying system messages
VLC - viewing *any* type of video
Dropbox - for syncing files

Mac mini (1.42 Ghz PPC) 1GB - OS X Leopard
Dell Mini 10v N280, 1GB - OS X Snow Leopard

Does VLC perform better than iTunes? I literally just made my hackintosh but I gave it to my girlfriend while she went on a trip. I loaded it up with a few movies but she said it was too choppy to watch.
