Unhappy Hibernation broken in 10.5.8 (not SL) - normal? - 02-06-2010, 09:07 PM

I installed 10.5 on my 10v the other day and upgraded to 10.5.8 using the combo updater (basically following the meklort.com guide).
Everything works except hibernation (it just goes to "pulsing light" sleep). If I enable it, I get the "hibernate image too old" message, and hibernation does not actually work.

I'm using NBI 0.8.3RC5
Is hibernation supposed to be working with this version and 10.5? All the threads I've seen deal with SL, but I am using regular Leopard.

Please help!

Hibernation, generally does not work, regardless of version of OS X.

Here is an old thread with a few who say they got it to work, but few clear answers as to how they got it to work and others could not replicate their results.
Is Hibernation actually possible?

Functioning Hibernation

I tried all the suggestions in that thread, including removing the sleepimage file. Why can't get this to work?

It's not you.
It has never worked 100%. I guess the enable function has just been left in so if Meklort figures out a way to get it to work reliably, but it doesn't seem to be a priority.
