Default Kernal Panic - 02-06-2010, 04:27 AM

Hi,

I have 10v with N280 processor and A06 BIOS. I created 2 USB sticks using the Alternate 2 method

I am getting Kernal Panic error, new to Hackintosh and OSX, any idea what I might be doing wrong?

I used NBI_083F dd Image that was listed in the instructions, is there some other version I need to use? The one in Google Code site is a zip and gives me an issue when I try to download (zip). Not sure why....am I not suppose to Unzip it? and just burn that zip ?

thank for help!

PS. I do NOT have a MAC, just Win7 and WinXP

OK ... so I was able to overcome this issue by replacing the NBI image to the 83RC3 image.

your not supposed to have a06 bios. a05 and lower work with osx. look for the downgrade tutorials here.

Why should I use OS X when I can use Linux?

No longer true. A06 works fine with newer versions of NBI (though support for it didn't come until 0.8.3RC5--so I'm not sure how RC3 worked for the OP).
