I'm a little stumped here. Had 10v running 10.6.0 for over a month with all things working fine. Picked up Crucial 2 GB chip. Follow video and Dell memory install instructions to a "T". WiFi no workie now. Airport will not turn on. Menu icon says no Airport card installed. Went through install process 3 times, double checked every last thing. Worked Avid tech support and know hardware precautions. Reinstalled NetbookInstaller, reboot, reinstall. Did Bios disable wan, lan, restart, enable wan, lan, nothing. Even replaced 1 GB chip, no wifi. Thinking I should have left well enough alone. Any hints here? Hoping some simple fix available I just can't see. TIA. On Mac OS install, I wiped XP drive. Running without any Windows OS. Thinking maybe reinstall XP to factory original and test wifi from Windows. What the? |

first take a look if it is enabled in bios. If yes, i think you didnt really connect it back. The wifi card you can access very simply by removing one screw only. Check if you had it reinstalled right and if the two cables for the antenna are correct plugged. |
