installing and running from the applications folder worked for me fine so far no issues. Thanks so much for writing this very helpful app

Is this just to fix the fact that photo booth doesn't fully fit onto the screen? or are there other issues with photo booth?

I believe that it it is just intended to "fix" the size issue. There are other more general workarounds for that issue, which affects more than just PhotoBooth. None are 100% satisfying, unfortunately.

I just opened the Automator scripts that are in the dmg. It looks like they are simply setting the usual AppleDisplayScaleFactor

The workflow:
1. Quit PhotoBooth
2. defaults write AppleDisplayScaleFactor .75
3. Launch PhotoBooth

The uninstaller simply sets the scale factor to 1

P.S. I manually set my scale factor to .85 as this makes Photo Booth fill the screen (vertically) on my 10v (1024x600).
