I have the same issue actually. A06 bios, installing to MBR. Used InfraRecorder + Image Writer to make USB. Edited the image with Transmac to update the OSInstall and OSInstall.mpkg files. (maybe that's the problem?)

The installer says:

OSInstaller[152]: Failed to verify AddressBook.pkg
OSInstaller[152]: Failed to download package from file://localhost/System/Installation/Packages/AddressBook.pkg and no alternate source.
OSInstaller[152]: Installer failed: The installer could not copy the necessary support files.

* Edit *

Using NBI 0.8.3 final
OSInstall files are from Installing Snow Leo (retail) for OSX86 | Prasys' Blog

FYI, I thought my USB image was a little sketchy because Transmac could only mount it read-only, so I rewrote it with Image Writer, which didn't fix the problem.

*BUT*, I tried dd and it worked on the 1st try. Transmac doesn't give an error and SL installed no problem on my 10v.

(great work on the guides/software btw!)
cheers,
-P.

Got same problem... But I did not use the Transmac option. I guess I should try dd option?

I wouldn't think Transmac has anything to do with it, so yeah, try dd if ImageWriter doesn't work for you.

I am writing on brand new 16Gb Sandisk USB stick with dd app. I will report here if it worked. I think that image writer worked for NBI 0.83.img on a smaller USB stick.

It did not work. Now, I'm getting really frustrated.

I downloaded NBI_083F image from here. Is this the latest release?

Wait, did you rewrite your DVD install image or the NBI image? I assume the OSX DVD image since you're writing to a 16G key, but just in case, that's the one you need to rewrite using dd. (also, did you make sure to run your command prompt as administrator?)
