Default Upgrade to A06 without Windows--use Ubuntu on USB? - 12-31-2009, 02:59 AM

Now that NBI RC5 is out compatible with A06, I'm looking for a way to upgrade my BIOS. Dell's BIOS upgrade utility is run on Windows only.

I found this on an Ubuntu forum:

Repository/firmware - DellLinuxWiki

There's a procedure from running the update using Ubuntu terminal. I'm thinking about booting Ubuntu from a USB to do this.

Anyone tried this yet? Thoughts?
