Default Cause of Tiny Fonts? - 12-29-2009, 11:09 PM

I was running with OS X 10.6.1 and tried installing one of two of the power saving extensions like voodoopowermini.kext and and CPU-i as discussed in this thread: voodoopowermini.kext noob question

Not sure what happened but I ended up with very small (tiny) fonts in Finder, Firefox and Thunderbird -- too small. I ended up using NBI 8.3 to do a reinstall of 10.6.0 (still tiny fonts) and then upgraded to 10.6.1 by running the update file downloaded from Apple (which gave me normal fonts).

I did try the usual Terminal Commands like defaults write NSGlobalDomain Apple DisplayScaleFactor to change the font size but that seemed to have no effect.

Does anyone have insight into why these fonts got tiny on me? I'm a bit goosey about trying any more kexts until I sort this font thing out.
