Lightbulb Upgrading to 10.6.2 (Using BIOS A06). - 12-23-2009, 11:24 AM

Hi guys,

I'm finally considering upgrading from 10.6.1 NBI RC3 to 10.6.2, however needed some help on doing this.

I used the enclosure method to install OSX, and am still running BIOS A06 (not particularly keen on downgrading). I wondered whether anyone can offer guidance on:

1. Do I use Software Update to upgrade from 10.6.1 to 10.6.2?
2. Do I run NBI 0.8.3 RC4 or NBI 0.8.3 RC5 (i.e., can I install RC5 without first running RC4?).
3. Is it safe to install the Airport update after upgrading to 10.6.2?

I've not experienced a single KP since my original install, and so am reluctant to update unless I'm very confident of the update process.

Thank you for your continued patience and help.

Edit: Seems as if I can update from RC3 to RC5 as per this post: what are the upgrade steps for NBI RC5. Still wondering whether to use SU or download the update from Apple's website.
