Default iPhone not detected.... - 12-22-2009, 02:30 AM

I got my Dell Mini 10v today, and as soon as I got it I began the installation of Mac Os 10.5.8.

I followed the guides in this forum, and the installation it was so easy and smooth, I just loved it. And I wanted to thank every one!

The only issue I got, is that when I first install the 10.5.6 everything works fine. But when I upgrade to 10.5.8 (thru downloading the installation package from apple, and then upgrading), My dell does not detect my iPhone at all, it doesn't even charge.

I've tried to reinstall 3 times now with the same results, it is detected on 10.5.6 but I lost all contact in 10.5.8

Is there a way to fix this issue?

I'm using a HD with the retail image of 10.5.6 OS, Netbook installer 0.8.3 RC4 and the Combo Update 10.5.8 for use in 10.5.6 or higher.

I tried to search for anything like this, but I couldn't get any similar issue in the results.

Never mind I got it. I Repaired permission and it is now fixed.

Again, I'd love to thank you all, to make this little piece of equipment the most powerful Macbook Mini on earth.

I have the same problem with SL 10.6.2. The iPhone does now charge or shows up.

How did you fix it? how did you repaired permissions?

Usually "Repairing Permissions" refers to using (in the Applications|Utilities folder).

FWIW -- my Mini 10v with OS X 10.6.2 does charge my iPhone.
