Default Problem with my External DVD - 12-19-2009, 07:28 AM

I followed the guide here : NetbookInstaller 3: Installation via External DVD Drive using NetbookCD | Guides | OS X | mechdrew
But when I press f5, my netbook freeze, the external DVD light isn't flashing.... My Snow Leopard DVD isn't corrupted because I can read the WindowsSupport on Windows 7... It's still freezing now! Please help me
It's even more!!! If I still have Netbook CD in my drive and press f5, it's ok. But when I eject and reput Netbook CD, then press f5, it freezes! So this is not problem with my Leopard CD
Anyone help ?

Finally, I decided to install with 2 USB, took a bit longer to prepare and worked like a charm! Upgraded to 10.6.2 and works fine so far.

I'm glad you got it working.

Mini 9 | Intel 5100 Wifi | Ubuntu 10.04 Netbook
Mini 1012 | SSD | Intel 6200 Wifi | Ubuntu 11.10 64bit

I just used a generic ide - > usb caddy and a pioneer slot loading drive in it.

It took a while but worked like a charm.
