Default Anbody notice any problems with wifi dropping connection? - 12-17-2009, 03:47 PM

Hi so I received my 10v and downgraded the bios to A05 using whiplash. I then did the install OSX using mechdrews guide for creating the USB in windows and everything went super easy. I then downloaded and installed the 10.6.1 update with no problem but noticed that that under both 10.6.0 and 10.6.1 when on the internet the connection seems to get lost. I can tell becuase the activity light on the router stops flashing and the progress bar on any downloads stops progressing. If i go to the menu bar and disable airport then turn it back on again all works fine again till it drops off again. So then I downloaded and installed netbookinstaller 0.8.2 and 0.8.3 RC4, I disabled the usb legacy option and rebooted. The sleep issue was then fixed and I then went to the apple logo and did software updates. It installed 10.6.2 and a update for safari, java, airport, and a couple of other things. The system went to restart but after shutting down and going black it beeped and froze. I turned it off and restarted and all started up fine except at the desktop I noticed the sound was gone so I ran netbookinstaller 0.8.3 RC4 again and restarted. Now at the desktop the sound was restored and everything looks great. It still seems to drop the wifi connection however. And disabling airport in the menu and re enabling it seems to get it working again untill the next time it hangs. Anybody have any suggestions.

Check if your airport updates get installed properly? I applied the latest airport updates and my wifi does not drop connection. This update is to fix that, I believe .

Cheers.
