Default Chameleon doesn't work the way I expect it to - 12-16-2009, 08:47 PM

I've got a 10v with a nice working 10.6.2 (bios A05)
When I use my Installation USB-stick as startu-up volume
I think Chameleon works all right, or the way it's meaqnt,
to there's 'primitive' Mac OS screen with a 'blue ribbon'
going backwards during a couple of second when I can
'hit any key' and get a choice of booting into different
volumes (like the USB-stick, HDD abd/or BootCamp partition)
but when I originally start from the HDD I have no time to
'hit and choose'.
The same installation of NBI 0.8.3 RC4 was made to both the
HDD and the USB-stick. How come only the stick gives me
the choice? - Anyone?

If I am reading this correctly, it may be the same issue I am having.

After dual-booting Win7 & 10.6.2, my Chameleon seems to have quietboot enabled. can't find where to turn it off - I want to see the OSes w/o having to hit anything. My preference is actually to boot to Win7 by default, if possible.

I'm going back through anguish's first dual-boot tutorial and may try using whatever he used in that one, since that worked perfectly for me before updating Win7/OSX.

EDIT: Well, EasyBCD doesn't work now. Hm.

got it!

I swiped the sequense:
<key>Quiet Boot</key>

in /Extra/

and added:

so it looked like:

…<key>Kernel Flags</key>

- Now it works exactly as I want it to!
