Default 2 USB Install SL with Tiger OS Not Found - 12-13-2009, 09:42 PM

I am currently on the end of the "NetbookInstaller 2: USB Mac Installation via Any Operating System" Install. I have my 2 usb drives plugged in and my BIOS in line. However when I start up my 10v I get a screen that says:
"This product is covered by 1 or more of the following patents...
For Realtek RTL 8101E/8102E(L)
PXE-E61: Media Test Failure
PXE-MOF: Exiting PXE Rom
Operating System Not Found".

What am I missing here?

Thank you.

Turn off the Remote Wake on LAN in the BIOS and remove the internal HDD from the boot list (Shift-1). Insert the NB USB then turn on the Mini. Count to two and insert the SL USB. If the ISOs are good, the Mini will boot into NB.

Try booting with the smaller USB drive only. If you can't get it to boot, that's where you need to start tinkering.

I have tried the above to methods to no avail. Even with no usb key plugged in I can not boot into ANY OS. Am I screwed?

I'm having issues as well but make sure legacy usb support is enabled.

You're just fine. Looks like we need to get that small USB drive working first. When you were in Terminal, did it report any errors?

Same problem here. Snow Leopard install fails about 95% of the way through. When reboots the exact error comes up. Tried install from USB Hard drive and 8GB usb key. Still has the same problem.

Any suggestions.

UPDATE

Here is how I fixed it. Insert the USB that has Chameleon Boot loader on it.
When is asks stop it from the default boot.
Choose the install that is on the Hard drive.
The New SL install booted great.

After the new install boots you need to re-run Netboot Bootmaker. Apply to the hard drive that the SL is on.

It will now work.

The error above is because the 10V does not know where or how to boot the new SL install.

I got no errors in terminal with the small drive. I have redone it now twice. I don't know what is wrong. Even without the usb drives in I get the same error message and it fails to boot to any OS.

Check this thread which may help you. You need to use low level format tool.

Problem with NetbookInstaller 2

Good luck
