Snow Leopard: no sleep on lid close - 11-28-2009, 08:17 PM
Hi, all. Long time no post.
My fiance and I just ordered a second 10v (this one's for her), and I decided we should put Snow Leopard on it instead of 10.5.8 (DellEFI v1.2a5), which is what's currently on mine.
Anyway, downgraded the BIOS from A06 to A04 without issue, installed 10.6 using Mechdrew's Method 3 (NBI 0.8.3 RC4), and everything is working amazingly--audio (INCLUDING INTERNAL MIC!!), sleep, things working AFTER sleep...
The one thing that ISN'T working is that, when I close the lid, the laptop stays on instead of sleeping as it does with my other 10v. Is this a Snow Leopard issue, or a NBI issue? Either way, anyone know of a way of fixing it?
I've already tried running:
sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 0
I reiterate--if I TELL it to sleep, sleep works fine. It'll also go to sleep as described by the energy saver settings. It just won't sleep on lid-close.
iMac G4 (17") "Snow Maiden" MacOS 10.5.8
Mini 10v "Bumblebee" MacOS 10.6.4 / NBI 20100616...
