Good question & what I do is use TM to just copy my 'docs' then once the OS has loaded I insert the TM backup (saying no to the request of using it as a TM) & from the desktop just copy n paste my apps ect..

I just decided to roll the dice. And imported everything from Time Machine, it took forever, but it worked perfectly.
YMMV

Oh and it imported everything as 10.6, not 10.6.2.

Now to just find the most updated trackpad drivers. I feel like I'm in a bit of an infinite loop....

Just run the latest NBI and you'll have the latest trackpad information. You should run it anyway after any major upgrade.

I'm sorry, but do I need to run it on the same USB drive that had the SL software? Or just anywhere? Sorry for the noob question.

Oh, and I am currently running 0.8.3 NBI
