Default Installed Ubuntu and know my USB stick won't boot - 11-16-2009, 06:35 AM

So I was experimenting with some things and decided to install Ubuntu over my OSX install. I went to re-install OSX but now the computer completely ignores my boot USB stick and goes directly to the grub loader. Any ideas on what's going on?

I have a couple questions, which I hope will help find the problem.

Does the drive boot on another computer? Did you enable/disable USB legacy in the BIOS? What's the USB drive's boot priority in the BIOS? Or did you manually choose to boot off USB from the BIOS boot device menu?

Also, did you prepare the USB drive with Mac OS X before installing Ubuntu?
