i think its a kernel panic. I think it should work if you just restart your 10v it should be okay.

Are you sure you have SL DVD Retail version on the USB, a friend downloaded (cheapskate) 10.6 but it was an early release which had support for the Atom processor removed. He then downloaded the retail version and it worked fine.
Did you format the USB correctly as Master Boot and not GUID?
Can you connect the drive to a standard Mac and get it to mount on the desktop?

When I ran my install I used RC4 ...probably doesn't make a difference though.
Good luck.

Seems you got the same problems as these I described a while ago in the thread dedicated to the SL install with bios A06.

On my machine, it is definitely too unstable, so I will downgrade the bios to A04 one of these days...

Kind regards

I had the same problem, but i got it to work. I simply redid everything from the guide installing via any OS(I used win xp).

I'm guessing I didnt copy the full SL on the usb drive correctly because i was playing around with some other apps. the next time I copied it, i made sure not to access other programs in the background.

now it worked for me.

good luck.

I'm having this same problem. I downgraded to the A04 bios, but that didn't fix anything. I'm about to try remaking the usb drives.

I just switched flash drives for the NBI and now it seems to be getting much further. Hopefully it will make it all the way through the install.

Switching flash drives for the NBI did the trick. I now have snow leopard fully installed.
