I'm not sure if I should have USB legacy enabled or not, can someone tell me that, please? This evening I'm planning to run the OSX updater, and download 10.6.1. From what I've read here, I should just install the update, then run NBI (I think I have 8.3). I'm also interested in ditching the "hibernation" screen - so I should run registry and type in sudo pmset hibernatemode 0 Reboot then.. sudo rm /var/vm/sleepimage (as per here: Accelerate Your Mac News Archive for Friday July 24, 2009) If I do the above exactly, will the update etc work, or am I going to end up bricking my Mini? ETA: is there anything I can do about the short battery runtime? I have the 3 cell, and I don't think it's lasting 2 1/2 hours with websurfing, if that. No Youtube or anything. 8GB iPod Touch 2G OS 3.1.2 Dell Mini 10v (1011), OSX 10.6.2 |
