Default Anyone run the optional Dell SSD on their 10v - 10-25-2009, 03:42 AM

Is it even supported under Snow Leopard, or would I just be better off going with the standard HDD?

Search yielded no relevant results.

Because there was a special going on, I ordered my 10v with the 16GB SSD. Been running 10.6.1 on it for about a week with no issues.

It will understand any properly formatted HD, SSD or otherwise. You don't necessarily need to go with the ones from Dell.

Just wanted to add another positive response to answer the original question...

I've been up and running for about a month now with my 10V using the Dell 16GB SSD. I've had no issues whatsoever with it at all. There are no differences in the installation procedures or anything else.

...sure, I wish it were larger, but that's what external devices are for I guess.

Go for it if it's something you're interested in and enjoy the sound of silence.
