Default "About This Mac" custom designs - 10-20-2009, 10:19 PM

Hey all, I have designed some replacement About This Mac images in PNG format that I would like to share. Please save them as TIFF files under the name "MacOSX.tif"

Instructions on how to replace the image can be found here:

Customize About this Mac | About This Mac

Or you can use OSX Tools to automate the replacement with your custom image.

I have used two icons and used 2 different font styles.

Let's see how creative we can be! Upload your designs!

That's indeed a pretty cool tip! A little more customization on an already heavily customized setup can't hurt, right? Screenshot of mine below. I also edited the System/Library/CoreServices/Resources/English.lproj to replace "Unknown" processor type with one more appropriate.

I got mine from the attached blog, scroll about 1/3 of the way down... There are several posted in that blog entry. Fun!

Great tip! By the way, you can run AboutThisMac.pkg from here, and the processor in your mini will be accurately detected.
