Default Add BT Module after OS X install? - 09-05-2009, 05:03 PM

I have 10.5.7 running super smoothly on a Mini9 (thanks to mechdrew's excellent guide), and have recently picked up a 10v on a great deal from the Outlet. The only thing it's missing is the Bluetooth module, which I plan to purchase and add to the 10v.

I've read a number of threads discussing a requirement to enable BT on Ubuntu or Windows before OS X will recognize that it's there. This seems to imply that I should keep the 10v as a Windows machine until after I successfully install the BT module and get it running/recognized before doing the OS X install.

Any advice on whether I should wait or are there workarounds that I can use if I add BT after OS X? I did read on another thread where a user booted to an Ubuntu OS on a jump drive and then OS X was able to see the adapter.

Thanks for any guidance!
