Are you sure the failed external drive approach wasn't the result of a failed bios downgrade before hand? Ie corrupted bios?

In between the BIOS downgrade failure and the failed external drive attempt XP ran fine, so I imagine BIOS not corrupted. Will be restoring it to XP at some point today to start over...

Gentlemen,
I have the mini 10v and have installed the OSX 10.5 on it according to the instructions. All was working fine until I tried to update the OSX. I used the software update utility and all was downloaded and rebooted to install, after installation the system tried to reboot again but will not. I get the spinning wheel but it seems to time out, then blue screen, then a white screen and froze. Anyone else have these problems? Any ideas?

Hi,

Just joined the forum after trying for 2 days to install on Mini 10v! Long story - tried various methods but ended up with and external HD connected via USB.

Along the way I did find a fix to using the BootMaker though!

Trying to install 10.5 Leopard, but goes only to apple screen and no further.

My BIOS may too old? Says A00? Not had any success with trying to create an USB flash drive... I'm a mac man really so a bit poor on the DOS/BIOS/CMOS PC side.

Tried so many links, probably me going wrong!

Any help would be most appreciated!

IGNORE ME... Tried agin from the start, this time I used a G5 PPC to create USB drive.

Thanks to all the guides, mechdrew and Gizmodo
