Default touchpad issues - 08-15-2011, 09:03 AM

I've upgraded my 1018 to 2Gb of RAM but now the touchpad only works intermittently. When I boot up it doesn't work but after I plug in an external mouse and disable and enable the touchpad it works again for a few minutes.

I've tried a system restore and the touchpad came back for a few minutes but then froze again.

Can anyone help?

sounds like you may have maybe an IRQ or device driver conflict between the external/internal devices

Sorted it, the touchpad connector had broke, a bit of bluetak to keep pressure on it fixed it. The damn connectors are soooo fragile.

Thanks for the reply by the way.
