| Junior Member Posts: 1 Join Date: Nov 2010 | Hi, I've just got an Inspiron 1018 with 1 GB Memory and want to upgrade Memory to 4GB with: either : Kingston Memory 4 GB SO-DIMM, KTA-MB1333/4G KTA-MB1333/4G or: Corsair SO-DIMM DDR3-RAM 4GB PC3-1333 (CMSO4GX3M1A1333C9) My Question: Is it possible? | Super Moderator Posts: 2,749 Join Date: Aug 2009 Location: Upstate New York, U.S of A. | reflex is correct, the MAXIMUM you can use is 2gb.....sorry...also you can use any speed you want but it will default to the max which is 667mhz...so in other words you may put in 800mhz but the system will kick it down to 667mhz.....keep in mind this is a Mini NOT a laptop....there are many restrictions to Minis... ![]() ![]() Link to 1018 Service Manual Documentation PS.
