They rave about a whopping 5C difference? Strange. My Mini 9 gets warm, yes, but not what I'd call hot. It depends on what it is doing at the time. I have the older generation that runs hotter than what the 1012 uses.

thank god he got his Acer (which is all he REALLY wanted in the 1st place)

PS. I would NEVER call my Mini what he describes as a "portable heater" either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting that Dunhamzzz in his second paragraph says that he has had "head problems" with his Mini 9. My Mini 9 is very cute also, but we are just good friends.
