Yes lol well thought of trying out windows 7 professional 64-bit on it but with 1gb i know it just lag most of the time. With 2 gb might just feel how it is running now (I think lol)

2GB, 204-pin SODIMM, DDR3 PC3-8500 memory module

DDR3 204-pin SODIMM: Approximately 2.66 in. by 1.18 in. (66 mm by 30 mm)
  • Chipset: Intel NM10
  • Drive Form Factor: 2.5"
  • Drive Interface: SATA
  • Maximum Memory: 2048MB
  • Slots: 1 (1 bank of 1)
  • Standard Memory: 1024MB removable
  • USB Support: 2.x Compliant
Thanks for any input

I can't say on other brands that work but the Crucial 2gb worked for me. Before that I did try a Kingston chip that just black screened.

i think there should be a sticky in this section advising on buying the crucial, it would save a lot of upset for people!

I just want to say thank you to this forum ... i just bought a Crucial, same memory as the image above, and this forum confirmed that it worked. Otherwise, I would cancel my order.

I just got done upgrading my 1018 with the Crucial brand too!
My 1012 also has the Crucial 2gb RAM module.
All I've used has been Crucial and they have never failed me yet.
