Cool Installed Windows 8, now the Dell won't boot up. - 09-04-2013, 11:37 PM

I don't have a issue with dual-booting; I would like to know if I have correctly disabled: Removable Devices, Hard Drive, USB Storage, and the Network boot in the BIOS Boot Menu by placing an exclamation point in front of their names.
There is no recovery partition on the HDD; I'm looking to downgrade Windows 8 (which won't even boot up on the Mini), and do a clean install of XP Professional. One wrinkle-the original installation was XP Home Edition. I don't have a a copy of that, so I'm going to go with what I've got.

Why would Windows 8 not even boot? I run it just fine on my Mini 9. I am not familiar with the 1012's BIOS to comment on your first question.
