Default Dell Mini 1012 Bios Pasword Protected - 06-06-2012, 01:08 PM


I have Dell Mini 1012 and it is password protected. Do anyone know what is the best way to have the password protection removed as I do not have the password key. Please help

you can call Dell and give them the service tag number (located on the bottom of the Mini) and they can generate a password for you or the other way is from what I have heard is that there are people on ebay that can generate a password for you also, of course there is a charge either way but I think that the ebay option is cheaper and it does work...

PS. dont bother trying to take the Mini apart and remove the CMOS battery, it doesnt work and why go through all that trouble for nothing besides risking breaking something in the process....
