Default Battery Release Latch Question - 01-31-2012, 05:04 PM

I've searched the boards but couldn't find the answer to my question. My battery release latch for my mini 1012 broke off and is lost. Now my battery won't charge. I've tested both battery and charger and they are fine and so is the operating system, etc. I have no warranty. I need to order the replacement set and I could only find one for the 1011 which looks a lot different and bigger. I am pretty confident I can do it myself I just need to know where to order the part and directions.

It might be a nightmare but you might be forced to go through Dell, not sure how much support they are actually offering on the Mini's at this point..Good Luck to ya...

PS. check ebay maybe?....

Worst case, if Dell doesn't sell the part, you'll just have to send it back for repairs. Again, you can always ebay or google for parts, if available.
