Sometimes my 1012 will not charge the battery when plugged in and will not even work off AC with the battery taken out and yet sometimes it will. If I want to try and charge my battery to 100% I have to keep the power meter utility open and watch when the AC quits charging and it switches to battery power. I then will unplug the adapter from the laptop and plug it back in, this will allow the laptop to keep charging for a short amount of time, maybe 10 min. Then it will stop charging again, go back to battery and repeat the unplugging process. What I am trying to figure out is if it is the battery, the AC cord or something wrong with charging unit inside the laptop. Has anyone else had this issue? What did you figure out? Did you fix it?

Do you have access to another 1012 to exchange parts with as a test? Otherwise, you may have to just send it in fo repairs.
