Default Ram from XPS m1210 compatible? - 11-17-2011, 09:29 PM

I just purcashed a mini 1012 this week for my wife, as it was just $150 refurbished. I have an xps m1210 with a bad battery. I like the computer, except it is very slow (I understand it is a netbook), and was going to buy her a 2GB ram stick for it. My question is, it appears that the XPS uses the same ram (DDR2 200-pin SoDIMM PC25300) as the mini, is that correct? If so I already have the 2GB stick in the XPS, which I no longer use since it is a compact computer that has to be plugged in all the time , so I can swap that with the 1GB stick in my mini and not pay a dime for the upgrade. Am I missing anything here?

Go for it, the worst thing it can do is not boot til you put the original RAM back in. For whatever obscure reason that would be.

Dell M4500 i7 940XM, 8GB DDR3, 256GB SSD, Quadro FX1800M, 15.6" screen at 1080p. Win 7 Pro.

Black Dell Mini 9. 2GB G Skill RAM, 32GB Runcore, Dell 1510 "Airport Extreme", US Intl keyboard, 2.0 MP webcam, OS X 10.6.7,Bluetooth, sleep, ALC 268 fix and a proper Apple logo.
