Default GPS in Europe? - 08-15-2010, 02:54 AM

Will this Dell GPS work in europe? I have an iphone that obviously has google maps for free. Is there something similar for this GPS? A website that perhaps can detect it and show me where I'm at. I'm not really interested in turn by turn directions because I'll be on a train or metro. I thought it might come in handy when around europe with the GPS. If anyone has any info it would be appreciated. Free of course would be best but other options I'm willing to listen too as well.

I did find Microsoft Streets and Trips for Europe not sure if it would detect the dell GPS and again looking for something inexpensive first choice.

Yes, It will work of course, Europe is located on the same planet like U.S.
There is Google Maps for PC, but I have no information about that any GPS will cooperate or not with it. I use Garmin Mobile PC that works fine on 1012.
I don't know the programs you have mentioned, but if they are installed on Your 1012 and can use a GPS, they will work perfectly with the 1012's GPS module.
