Default Which types of ram will work on the mini 1012? - 07-29-2010, 01:32 AM

I've been looking to upgrade my mini 1012 to 2 gb of ram. I've heard of stories of people installing ram in their laptop/netbook and it not being recognized. Is it any ddr2 type ram for a laptop that will work on the mini 1012 netbook?

Not as well as with two, but acceptable if you are a patient soul.

ok so i tried to upgrade ram today. i think i know what the issue is. i removed and replace the factory 1gb or ram with a a data 2gm stick. it is ddr2 so-dimm. when i hit the power button, the battery light comes on and stays on and the other light next to it, comes on for like to seconds and goes off. screen receives no power and computer does nothing. i think it may be the wrong mhz. the stick says "ddr2 533(4) 2gx16 so-dimm"

the a data part is "AD2S533B2G4-R"

help is appreciated.

The ram speed in this Intel system must be at least 667MHz. The 533MHz isn't enough.
