I was running Microsoft Security Essentials, but realised it didn't have email scanning or a resident shield, so I changed it to AVG Free 9.0, but I didn't notice much difference in boot time between the two.
I only recently put Win 7 Starter back on after trying Ultimate, so it's a nice & clean setup. It sits at the DELL BIOS screen for 13s too.
To be honest, much as I love my Mini, my old Acer A150 knocks spots off it performance wise, but I am happy with my choice, but just a little dissapointed at it's performance and that it has to go back to Dell for investigation/repairs
I have just uninstalled AVG and restarted with no AV and it took 1m 31s to get to the same place, so obviously AVG is quite heavy. Just put MSE back on & it took 1m 45s, so a bit quicker than AVG, but not much.
I looked at mscong, but nothing happened, I saw some disk activity, but that was it
