Default What is needed for WWAN? - 04-30-2010, 01:08 AM

I got a Dell Mini 1012. In canada there is no option for WWAN so i got the one with the big resolution, broadcom graphics, bluetooth and TV Tuner. If i wanted to have WWAN i would have to pay 200$ more so this is a no go.

If i remove TV tuner card, what will i need to do and to buy to have HSPA?

I have such a 1012 too and a spare HSDPA card from a Dell D430.
Would it be enough to switch the card and plus the SIM in the slot ?

you would still need a sim card reader which dont be fooled when looking into this not all sim card reader are the same as they have different pin outs and you would need a wwan card and a pair of antenna and to pick a good spot for them it will a long process to gather all the parts
