so apparently the built-in intel wimax card does not allow you to use WiFi and WiMAX at the same time. If I were to solder new PCIe slots in there, does anyone know if I could add a secondary WiFi card (assuming I added new antennas as well) I want to use my mini as a 4G access point, but want to know if its possible before I go soldering the motherboard.

yeah you can solder but its not even worth it to much involved just for a wifi card what you can actually do which is gonna be cheaper and easy is just to add a small usb wireless adapter and just remove it when not in use etc
