Hi everyone,

I just ordered 1012. As I understand it is possible to add/upgrade memory on it. So I have number of questions:
1. Should I add or buy one 2GB chip.
2. What and where to buy. I am in Canada. Any store recommendations? Internet is OK too.
3. Any instructions how to do this?

There is only one memory slot in the 1012, so if you want 2GB you would have to buy a single 2GB SODIMM. PC2-5300 or faster.

Does it make sense to use faster memory even CPU does not support it?

it will work fine, just wont be used at the full capacity but will do no harm..

The one you link to is the minimum spec for the 1012 - it should work fine.

Any of those should be fine. Corsair is a good brand and it's cheapest, so I'd go with that one.

There's a handy video on Crucial's site that shows how to get to the memory. Relatively easy on the 1012.
