So, after reading this thread many times, I elected to give this display upgrade a shot. Not really because of the improved resolution, but because my wife pressed her thumb a little too firmly on the original screen and cracked it. I got the new screen from Bliss in the mail today and attempted to install it. When I powered the computer back up, it's definitely having issues.
For starters, the right portion of the screen (i'd say the far 2" or so) are all white, with some vertical lines. Secondly, any movement on the visible area is slow to occur and kind of "stutters". For example, moving the cursor or typing seems to lag a couple of seconds between the action on the input device and it appearing on the screen. Thirdly, the visible area of the display just looks weird. I mean, I can see what I'm doing, but it certainly doesn't look good. I tried disconnecting the video cable, reconnecting, and starting it back up again, but I got the same result. I'm not sure if something was damaged in the initial crack or if I screwed something up while replacing the LCD. Any thoughts/suggestions you guys have will be greatly appreciated!
