Welcome to the forum I believe the keyboard screws are the top three on the bottom,left,middle and right..thats the way it is on the Mini 1010, you remove the 3 top screws, flip the unit over, gently pry the top half of the keyboard up using a small flathead screwdriver or something similar, then lift the keyboard up, carefully not to detach the cable underneath, lay the keyboard upsidedown on the palmrest and remove the cover on the right, replace the memory and reverse procedure to reassemble NOTE: the hard drive is to the left, you might wanna pull out that 160gb and pop in a 500gb while you are at it EDIT: Here is the subforum on this board specifically for the 1012 http://www.mydellmini.com/forum/dell...12-discussion/ iPad 4 (64gb),Targus Versavu Case |

| Junior Member Posts: 8 Join Date: Jun 2009 | I was frustrated with the lack of a service guide (strange, since Dell seems to have one for every other computer they have) so I put up an HD video and picture guide for dismantling the 1012 @ How to dismantle and upgrade the Dell Mini 1012 | jRin.net if anyone is interested. As posted in the "I got mine, what do you want to know" thread, it's rather simple - just unscrewing a few screws, removing the keyboard, and prying off the palm rest bracket |
