It took me about 3 weeks to get my first one. UPS had a mishap on the shipping and delivered it to someone else. I called Dell and they are shipping me another one. I was told to keep the first one since I went through all the hassle to tracking down the package myself and driving to pick it up. AWESOME. Now I only wish that I had ordered a fully loaded Mini 10v instead of a semi-loaded Mini 10.

Guess you guys missed the point that because of the US economy, Dell laid off almost 12,000 working in the US alone. This along with their suppliers having the same woes because of the world economy has cause a slowdown in manufacturing items. Dell is not the only company with this issue right now. We have all become so ADDHD over the last 10 years because of the instant gratification of the internet, that we don't have the patience of waiting anymore. I remember when I was a kid, 20 years ago, how it would take several months to get a car that was special ordered from the GM factories. In the last few years it only took weeks. Until now.

The point is to be patient.

Dell Vostro A90 | SOLD - Dell Inspiron e1705 | SOLD
Dell Latitude D630 | 500gb HDD | 8gb RAM | W7 Pro 64bit | nVidia 135M (256mb)
Dell Precision T3500 "The Beast" W3570 quadcore 3.20ghz | 12gb 1333mhz ram | nVidia 240GT 1gb | Win 7 Pro 64bit | 12TB storage

i used to buy computers for commercial installations at my old job. if something was time critical, i NEVER ordered dell. if you don't mind waiting, they're fine. if you're a ginormous bank that buys millions of $ worth of stuff, they'll take care of you. i worked for a publicly traded company that bought a fair amount of stuff and WE didn't rate.

i have no delusions. i'll place the order later this week. if it's not here in 2-3 weeks, i'll cancel and do something else. complaining does absolutely no good, and it's a total crap shoot as to the quality of their service. you only agitate yourself if you get pissed off.
