OK, I reinstalled the video drivers -- no go, max resolution was 1024x768 (Other available options were: 800x600, 1024x576 and 1024x768)
I called up Dell support and went through a few steps with the rep. First he tried to updated the BIOS, but it was already up to date (ver. A05). He also reinstalled the video drivers, rebooted and no luck. He insisted that 1024x768 was the optimal resolution based on the system settings even though the LCD supports 1366x768.
Then he asked me to do a complete system restore (CTRL+F11 method). Tried that, now Windows is broken (lol) due to windows unable to setup registry values. Restored the machine a 2nd time to get windows to boot. I'm suppose to get a call from Dell's 'resolution expert' in the next 10mins or so to decide whether or not they have to take back the machine to check up on the resolution issue.
Guess I'll wait til after the resolve this before I install WinXP Pro
So much for Day1.. I'll play around with my Mini9 in the mean time
Update: Back to the Depot it goes for 'repairs'
