I would hazard a guess that any more than 7 key presses may be a good indication of whether the Mini10(v) display is LED although researching the hardware ID or even better yet would be disassembly to be 100% sure that it is equipped with superior LED display as opposed to old-school CCFL if Dell went the cheap route... |

The level does't take effect very quickly, so if someone were not paying close attention, they may hit the button multiple times and perceive 1 level of brightness change.
