Question 2GB RAM for the old Mini 10 ? - 05-18-2009, 09:01 AM

We all know that currently it's not possible to change the RAM ourselves, but I wonder when the Mini 10 arrives with the 2GB option, if it would be possible to change the 2-in-1 Memory and Processor Board with the new version and that way get 2GB of RAM ?

Any thoughts?

Or better yet, change it for an N280/GN40 and 2GB RAM. Or even better yet an nVidia Ion platform and 2GB RAM. Hey, ya never know! The rumors are out there.

If you're talking about the "new" 10v, no, the system boards are different. The 10v has a SODIMM slot for it's RAM.

When, that is IF, they ever release a 2G CPU/RAM sub-board for the 1010, it should be available separately. If not from Dell directly, that sort of stuff always seems to be available on eBay.

Since the ION small PC is coming out next month, who knows, maybe we will see a Dell mini 10 released with the ion platform. Crossing my fingers and toes.
