I was actually trying to do something similar I used this HDMI To VGA Converter It worked really well and it wasn't that that expensive, only like 70 bucks . It converted the left and right audio signal as well to RCA.

I am confused. I would like to connect my Mini10 with a HDMI port to a projector with VGA input. Will this cable work?

Basic answer is that cable alone won't do anything.

Default HP Adapter - 02-26-2010, 02:29 PM

Interesting about the HP adapter. I called HP and they told me it would only work on the four HP machines they list as compatable. Why would they say that? No one would buy a machine based on the adapter would they?

Of course HP is going to tell you that - they won't claim support for any non-HP models.

Not possible. it is not just a matter of pins.

There is no way I know of to use the screen of your Mini (or really, pretty much any laptop computer) as an external monitor.
