Re: Should I trade my MINI 9 for a MINI 10?? - 04-05-2009, 11:30 PM
[so will i notice much difference in performance? my primary uses for my netbook is just typing papers, browsing the web, watching videos, listening to music, excel, some powerpoint, nothing heavy really since i have a desktop for that! so please, please give me some advice, since I really like the mini 10, but I don't want to regret getting it! thanks![/quote]
Must of us Geeks...especially the "hacker" types prefer the 9 because of what we can do with it. I have both a 9 and a 10 and I think you would like the 10 better based on the above quote. Read the MINI 10 forums here. I personally did not think the touch pad was as bad as some say. And the "almost" full size keyboard is sweet! Also, I made a "movie-on-a-stick" (see this link yet-another-good-thing-about-the-mini-9-t4245s10.html) and it looked good on both, but better on the 10. And you can change the screen resolution to 1024x768 for web surfing, etc. if you can live with the slightly "flattened" look of things.

Having not owned a Mini 10 I am obviously biased.
I like the 9 because as previously mentioned its modability and it's ability to be converted to a "Hackintosh".
A major drawback of the 10 for me is the limitation (at this time) of only 1GB of RAM.
Runcore 64GB | 2GB RAM | ATP 16GB C6 SDHC | 1.3 Webcam | Bluetooth | OSX 10.5.6 | Fusion w/Windows XP | CrossOver | DellEFI 1.2A5 | BIOS A04 | 77Whr Battery
Will install OSX for Food
