Default any news on mini v2? - 03-23-2009, 07:32 PM

Getting anxious waiting to see what will be on the mini10 v2. sodimm slot? or soldered on 2gb? ion? (i wish) or 720p screen w/ wireless N? (more likely). how about the fabled gps and tvtuner? Any dell people here can give us some insight? personally i'd take a bigger battery, 512k sodimm w/ ubuntu (nice and cheap + upgradable), and the 720p screen and i'd order right now.

I would guess no earlier than this summer or as late as the end of the year...

What do all of you think about possibility of battery upgrade for Dell Mini 10 in future?

Then HP released a HP Mini 1000 it have only a 3 cell battery, but now it have a 6 cell too as configurable option:
  • 3 Cell Lithium Polymer Battery Included in price
6 Cell Lithium Polymer Battery +$40.00
One 3 Cell and One 6 Cell Polymer Batteries +$119.00

And even it was released with slow and small 8/16 GB SSD, now you can choose between:
  • 8GB (Solid State Drive Flash Module) Included in price
16GB (Solid State Drive Flash Module) +$15.00
    60GB 4200RPM PATA Hard Drive +$65.00
32GB (Solid State Drive Flash Module) +$75.00
    80GB 4200RPM Hard Drive +$90.00

Dell Inspiron Mini 12, 1.6 GHz CPU, 1 GB RAM, 40 GB HDD, 3 cell battery, MS Windows Vista.
Want to install internal WWAN modem, replace HDD with SSD or CompactFlash.
P.S. English it is not my native language, so, please, excuse me for its poor quality.
