I think you are wrong, because Nvidia Ion it is a chipset with integrated GPU, but Dell Mini 10/12 do not have on this daughter board a GPU and chipset. On daughter board we have a CPU and RAM, but GPU and chipset is soldered on motherboard. So we could not change Intel chipset and GPU to Nvidia Ion only by changing of single daughter board. We need to change a motherboard too in this case.
I think so.
Want to install internal WWAN modem, replace HDD with SSD or CompactFlash.

Actually the US15W includes the GMA500 graphics as this is an embedded chipset.
This is integrated into a single chip solution which means that, yes, Dell could provide an ION chipset upgrade for Mini 10 and possibly Mini 12 owners
@KubanUser1, the Chipset, RAM and Processor in the Mini 10 (1010) is on a separate daughterboard. I think that you are confusing this with the Mini 10v (1011) which has the Chipset, RAM and Processor soldered to the motherboard.
